Learning method #1: I bought a used '87 Savage and loaded it in the back of my 4runner. On the way home, the truck's clutch went out. I unloaded the bike and drove it sixteen miles up a mountain to my home. That is how I learned. White knuckles, fear, anxiety.
Learning method #2: After eight months of commuting 75 miles a day up and down the mountain, I took a motorcycle training course and got my license. What a difference. The instructors out here in California were knowledgeble, friendly and competent. I ride safer with more confidence. I highly recommend it.
